Airs on Friday April 21st and all 13 half hour episodes will be available that day. I'm not sure I'm the target demographic, but it looks like great fun. :)

Girlboss is inspired by the New York Times best-selling book #Girlboss by Sophia Amoruso, founder of the fashion brand Nasty Gal. The series centers on Amoruso (Britt Robertson), who began selling vintage clothes on eBay and, by the age of 27, had built the multi-million dollar fashion empire, Nasty Gal.

Released today. Seems like it's a series about a very annoying sh*thole, and the reviews haven't been great either.

Reviews are panning this as drivel. I will probably still have a quick look at it, given that all it takes is a click to look at it at some point.

I liked it but then again I can remember the hype around Nasty Gal at the time. I loved episode 10 "Vintage Fashion Forum" and the throwback to how Internet forums were 10 years ago!!

I've heard that the downside to this is that Britt Robertson's character is incredibly unlikeable. I'll try a few and give it a fair chance. I did like the trailer.

The character is incredibly unlikable (and there are quite a few reports that the same is true for Sophia Amoruso) but Britt Robertson is incredibly charismatic. I'm half way through and will probably keep watching entirely because Robertson is bringing something so delightful to the character.

Hated this at the beginning - Sophia really is a piece of work in the first ep.- but stuck with it, and ended up loving it.

It is quite good writing that she continues to be a little annoying, but the positive aspects of her character come out. Found it to be gently humorous, engaging, nostalgic (even though it is only set 10 years ago), loved the reappearance of the Dean from Community and Charlie Sheen's stalker from Two and a half Men, both a little underused.

Agree about the internet forum, that was class.

Cancelled, unfortunately. Shame - I quite liked it in the end.

I’ve given up after two episodes. It was really down to her unlikeability. Doubt I’ll be back but I hope it ended well for those who were into it.

I just started watching this tonight and I have to say I'm loving it.

Based on the bad reviews, and it being cancelled, I was expecting something terrible. I am actually a little confused about the reviews I read. A lot was said about Sofia, the character, being so unlikeable that you couldn't care about her but I'm not getting that at all. She's kind of abrasive and self obsessed but there's plenty of scenes where we see her exposed, if only briefly, as a sad and lonely young woman. Not that that excuses some of her worse behaviour but really I don't see her as being all that bad. Although I am only 4 episodes in.

I wonder if some of the negative reviews were because of this idea that still exists that female characters can only be the likable hero or the bitchy villain? Obviously some people just didn't like it/her based on personal taste but I was expecting some horrible nasty piece of work based on what I read when the show came out. And I know that the real Sofia is/was apparently a bit of a cow so maybe some of that was mixed up in the reviews?

I'm also surprised at how funny it is. Maybe I'm in a weird mood tonight but I find it hilarious. The 4th episode where they're watching Marissa die on The OC and then later Sofia is running across the bridge with the wedding dress and it mirrors Ryan holding dying Marissa, I was laughing my ass off, as the kids say.

Anyway, I'm looking forward to watching the rest of it and I'm already disappointed there won't be a S2. Britt Robertson is so charming in everything I see her in, I wish she'd catch a break and get cast in something that lasts.

Just watched the Internet forum episode. So cleverly done, I loved Annie in that ep too. I really don't get what motivated Netflix to cancel this. There are far worse shows they have renewed.

Finished it off there tonight and I'm not even sure there was supposed to be a second season? I was expecting to be left with things hanging and be mad at Netflix for not renewing it but it kind of felt like everything was wrapped up quite well, like it was intended as a one off series.
    Anyway, I really enjoyed it.
