Have to put up porcelain tile behind stove. Only have to put 2 up and tiles are large 2' by 2'.

Would a normal angle grinder cut them or do I need special grinder.
Also anyone know where I could get a small amount of tile adhesive for porcelain tiles. One in DIY shops are all 20kg

    Thanks

You'd wreck the tile with a normal angle grinder, If it did go through the finish would be ****e.

You can use the grinder but you'd need to have a diamond blade on it, And keep it wet with a sponge while your cutting.

You can get small tubs in most tile shops, 5 Kg.

Looking at the tubs they are all for ceramic tiles but found a 5kg bag in woodies online that you mix up yourself.

As for the bad edge I'm not too worried as the edge will be behind some marble so will not be seen.

As its a straight edge would I be better to buy a score and try snap the tile. Because is 600mm in length I thought the grinder might be easier

A manual scorer would be crap. Either a sigma cutter to incorporate the tile size you refer to or a diamond disc in a 4" grinder. In your case, the latter would be the cheapest option.

Alternatively, I'm sure there are plenty of tilers on here that would snap 2 for you in seconds if you went to them with the tiles marked up :)
