    Hi,
I'm not sure if there is something about this out there already, if so I couldn't track it down.
I am a candidate of the Garda Recruitment Campaign September 2016, I completed my assessments in early February (I had to postpone from November) and got word in early March that I was successful for an interview which would take place in mid - late April.
I am still waiting on an official date, is this the norm? Also, any advice on specifics that I can be revising? Thanks in advance.

check out test preperations on fb. they cost you few quids but you do get some directions. I saw people mention another place who gives you guidance about the interview but can't recall the name.

You get an interview familiarisation material with your mail which should have all details of what to expect during interview. but in short- have a nice suit, nice attitude, have knowledge on the first application you have sent to them and what you wrote on it, your study, hobby, why you wanna join, etc QA ready. Also, know the structure and history of AGS, have 5 criterias mentioned in familiarisation material ready to deliver and be honest about them.

They don't have all day so have them following way:

    what problem happened: 2 sentences
How you solved it: 5-6 sentences
    outcome and result: 2-3 sentences.

i hope this helps and all the best.

Hey guys, I got my interview this month and I was just wondering if anyone could help me with something on that blasted form B. It's probably a stupid question but where it says it must be done on a computer, is that click the link then type your answers then print it or is it just print it them fill out the questions by hand. I only ask because there seems to be questions with a circle yes/no answer. Thanks guys.

You fill it out on the computer. They won't accept a hand written one.

I downloaded the form, think it's in PDF format. then you use a computer to fill it.

Another question about the Form B in regards question 8 - if you have a spouse/civil partner/partner please provide details below of their father/mother/step-father/step-mother, it goes on to ask about aunts/uncles and grandparents. This probably sounds daft but Iv been with my boyfriend 6 years I am assuming I have to fill all this info out for him as I did for my own family? Thanks in advance. It sounds like a daft question but I wanted to clarify.

Hey guys I was wondering if anyone that has done the interview could provide a brief example of what they used for the competencies. I spent 6 years in the army and would like to be able to compare just so I have an understanding of what's expected. Cheers for any help.

You get a list of competences to prepare for with your interview date.

Thanks for getting back to me. Is that what is found on the familiarisation material?
