Kids Running Shoes

Down South

Have a 7 & 9 yo that have just started athletics. I want to get them something suitable (runners not spikes) without getting overly technical (ie gait analysis) and expensive for what will invariably have a short lifespan.

Any tips? Will any well fitting shoe from a good manufacturer do or should I be considering anything in particular?

Just like most tracksuits are not actually worn at the track, most runners are not really for running in, they are fashion items. So try to get a pair that is meant for running in.

But kids are light on their feet and won't be doing a lot of miles, so you don't have to be too particular about it.

Not a huge choice out there but get runners for running rather than fashion as Ray says.
