Sewer pipes for planting

Hello, Lookin to build something for my veggies / plants. Thinking of cutting a good 2/3 part of a 6" sewer pipe and put the soil inside than plant the lettuce or veggies. Lots of space. Question is are those plastic pipes food graded,is the plastic having any bad, toxic effect on the soil /plants ? Thanks
