OU diploma in career guidance

Hi, just looking for some advice on this - I'm a post primary teacher looking to get into career guidance with a view to practicing privately to supplement my income - I'm a post 2012 graduate and given that there seems to be little to no chance of pay equality being reached I've decided to overcome my bitterness on the issue by looking to see what I can do earn a little extra. Also as a non permanent teacher I'm not in a position to study any of the courses as recommended by the IGC (many would require one to job share or take career break) plus I'm not so much into the counselling side of things rather the area of career guidance - has anyone completed the above course with the OU and would you recommend it? Would it suitably prepare someone to start practicing privately as a career guidance counsellor?
