Rear defroster grid issue

Just noticed today that upper (4 lines) rear defroster grid is not working at all & could see the difference clearly as below that area was perfectly clear.
Is it possible to fix it at home?
And any guess if it's covered under warranty?
I have attached a pic but maybe you cant see the issue clearly on the picture.

    Thanks

There is probably a break in the grid between the working and non-working area. You can buy a type of 'liquid metal' in a motor factors to bridge the gap, but if your car is still under manufacturer's warranty they should be happy to sort it in this manner.

I think the product is somewhat expensive, but most local mechanics should have some.

Is it the original glass or is it possible that it was replaced at some stage? Check the stickers on the glass, usually the original glass will have a sticker with the manufacturer's stamp on it. Should be the same on every pain of glass unless they have been replaced at some stage.

I see only my car dealer sticker at the bottom.
I will check again tomorrow in day light, dark at the moment and maybe i missed.

But even if it's changed glass, it should be working fine right?

Yea its under warranty so will ring dealer this week
