I haven't reared calves before, thinking of trying some that are a month old, looking for advice on cold feeding once a day or ad lib feeding, what do people use? any recommendations? What is the best milk replacer to buy? How much would each calf need from 4 weeks to weaning

A bag and a half each. i tried two batches last year, same farmer, same calves all within a forthnight of each other, treated the same all year and sold a few weeks back. one batch got one bag and the other got a bag and a half. there was 60kg of a difference average between the batches and 130 a head difference.

What breed did you buy. How much did you pay for them and how much did u make on them?. Rearing a few red white head heifers myself

How much would they drink up to weaning ?

The pro I see is I could tend to them once a day plus you have mighty calves

A kg a day at grass, once grass is kept right. If inside after weaning adlib.
