06 s40 1.6se petrol. Belt or chain?

    Hi, I recently bought a 06 Volvo s40 1.6se petrol car. There is 140000km on the clock and i was wondering if this car has a timing belt or timing chain? And when it needs to be replaced. Really appreciate any help.

    hi

    as far as I know its a belt but if you ring up a Volvo dealer and quote your reg number they will be able to tell you.
