Is there any point trying to apply to this school if you don't speak Irish? I am putting my baby's name down for the local schools and this one has no application form but you attend a meeting! Is there any point in me getting a meeting since I can't conduct it in Irish?

    Hi

My kids don't attend this school, ( I wish they did), but if you go along to the meeting you will be given an application form.
You can fill it in and leave it there. I attended the meeting, when I was living in the area, and if I recall correctly, most of the meeting was in Irish, but the key points were also in English.
While priority is given to kids who are being brought up through Irish, places do go to English speaking families.
It's an excellent school, which in turns feeds into 2 non fee paying Irish language secondary schools in Stillorgan,
If you do get a place, the school runs Irish language classes for parents, and it would be no harm in attending.
