Another 'Please help me identify this' thread

I found this on my floor yesterday morning. I looked on the web, and the closest thing I could find to it was a Palpatores of some sort, but this seems to have a more 'pointy' abdomen. Would anyone be able to tell me what it could be, please?





If it's of any help, at first I thought the two front 'things' could be antennae, but looking at it closely it does seem it's using them to walk on, and they seem to have joints of some sort. If it was some sort of spider, it was a very odd one, 'cause it appeared to have a rigid 'plaque' on its back, rather than a 'soft' abdomen. It was quite flat-looking too.

I did look at weevils, but this seems different - 'mine' doesn't seem to have a thorax separated from the abdomen, the legs don't seem to have those 'grippy' things, and all legs and/or antennae seem to be even in size.

Apologies, I know I'm not using the correct terms, hope I'm still making some sense despite that.

It's most likely a member of the Trogulidae family, which are Harvestmen.

These are usually found in western and southern Europe, and wouldn't be native to Ireland as far as I'm aware. They are most often found in soil, so it's possible it may have arrived in a plant pot or some such like.
