OVerplay VPN Ireland servers very slow

I find Overplay VPN very good generally but their Irish servers are exceptionally slow. On a speed test with any of their UK or US servers I get around 12Mbps download but with the Irish Servers I generally get around 1Mbps which is less than 10% of what I'm getting from the others. Overplay accept there is a bandwidth issue on their Irish servers but I've been waiting over two weeks now and it still hasn't been sorted. Is anyone else having a similar experience.

Cyprus but why would that make any difference? They accepted they have a bandwidth problem in Ireland but are very slow to sort it.

Because the internet is essentially a series of tubes, some get blocked, others dont.


Connections from the US will cross transatlantic fibre, connections from Europe either transit the UK or directly from France to Ireland. One of those links owned by Vodafone has shown signs of problems recently. If OVerplay's peering provider use them it could well be knackered at the moment. Moving to Cogent/Level3 would probably solve it instantly, but cost them more.
