Hi all, toilet is blocked in a new house. I'm pretty sure I've located the waste grate outside but just want to double check.

Also does anyone have any clue how to open it. See attached.

Before you try that , Get a mop and put a plastic bag over the head and tape it up around the bag opening so its air tight , then stick it down the toilet and give it a few pumps , It should unblock it no probs , never fails:)

Thanks to you both. Woodies don't have the keys but I see they look similar to the utility keys.

Anyway none of the utility keys seem to work in in. The holes go down a bit I've tried sticking a screwdriver in and bending and pulling up but to no avail they won't budge.

I tried the MOP and plastic bag but no luck

Thanks a million but I've tried the plungers already. Can see sewerage is overflowing now when we flush the top toilets, its leaking from not just drains in the above picture but out through those kinda of spider/web crates.

think we will just have to call a plumber to get them to go through the tank and pipes, we've moved in here in October so I suppose it's best to get it checked.

Are you on a line with neighbours?

We had a bit of a backlog and it was the neighbour flushing wet-wipes.

Thanks this is something I'll have to check.

Anyway just wanted to pop back in and say we got a plumber/drainer in and he cleaned the whole system. To be honest this was a job that I think was a bit beyond me. Even after he cleared everything he had to auger from the front all that back back into the toilet to clear the entire system.
