Adding wall controller to old firebird burner.

We have a firebird indoor burner circa 14 years old with the usual on/off, timed/24 plus time clock on the front panel.
Is it possible to wire up a separate control panel onto nearby wall with these same functions to avoid having to access the burner to control it?

    Yes
Boiler switch left permanently on in the 24hr position.
New timeclock fitted on the power supply. But it also has to have a 5amp fuse switch fitted before the clock to protect it and boiler.

Ah yes. Just put it on the power supply to the burner.
Was overthinking it, wondering if the burner had an input point for remote device.
Seeing as it's straight forward and basically everything would be compatible, any advice on a nice panel to buy?
Might be a good time to get a wifi connected one too.

Was just about to post the same question as I've the same boiler and just picked up a Nest controller. From my research Nest appears to be the best but is costly at around 270. I did find a Hive system on Argos that has a second controller for hot water ( presumably would connect to immersion control ) for 239. Had I not gotten a Nest for a reduced rate, I would have gone for the Hive. Both the Nest and Hive and have similar functionality plus they have no future monitoring costs, whereas the Climote system does.
