Speeding ticket error

    Hi all so i got a speeding ticket off a guard i was going 70 in a 60 zone but when my fine came in it said i was doing 70 in a 50 zone is this grounds to get the ticket over turned or would it be wishful thinking thanks all

    You still broke the law, doesn't matter if the numbers are wrong you were still wrong , a judge will correct any administration errors

    did you receive the fine by registered post?

    It's possible. It's covered on their website. Usually on the ticket it states where you were caught if you can show the ticket it's wrong it falls under category A of their procedures. Category A

    Cancellation requests falling within this category include –

    Where there is a detection issue / material error in relation to the alleged offence as outlined on the FCN e.g. incorrect speed limit.

    i wasn't inferring that

    but isnt the fine a legal document

    so if it costs 5 euro to send a reg letter just add it on the price of the speeding fine,

    i'd rather pay the extra fiver than have a squad car pulling up outside with a summons to go to court
