    Kadjar Dynamique S- Nav.

Car doesn't have headphone socket. Existing USB sockets are for input only. Is there any to facilite headphones on this car. ?

Why would you want to put headphones into you car, are you not looking for a 3.5mm aux in jack?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11 Innyquest

The Aux Jack is input only, doesn't output. Excessive tyre/road noise drown out Talk radio.

Thanks both for your observations. I sorta thought that was the situation, so no point in flogging a dead horse! Think I'd better leave it there. so thanks again for taking the trouble to comment.

    is there bluetooth audio?

Yes there is bluetooth, but Harvey Norman checked it and it won't output to bluetooth headphones, will only recognise mobile phone.

Are you planning to drive with headphones on to drown out the noise?

Interesting criticism of the Kadjar, everything I've read would suggest the car is pretty quiet and refined.

gotta ask, how does one keep fully aware of one's surroundings with headphones on, particularly noise cancelling ones? Would have thought it much safer to have the full benefit of all one's senses when driver

Point well made tipperary, tyre/road noise level is a tiring distraction too. Also fair comment Stallingrad. It's a really fine car (1.6, 4WD) pity about the tyre noise - 19" low profile. Will probably investigate other tryres for quiteness when change due. Comes fitted with Continentals, Few makes in size 225/45R19 readily available here.

I don't think headphones while driving would be appreciated by the Garda traffic corps!

You need to add some sound deadening or improve your audio system if you want more output from the stereo.

Thanks MobileAudio. There's adequate clarity and volume in the audio system - increasing volume only makes things worse. Point taken about Gardai - I agree. I think it's down to insulation and tyre research.
