Cars parking on roundabout & blocking traffic. What to do?

There's a roundabout near my work which is designed as 1 lane. However it's wide enough and drivers "make" it 2 lanes all the way to the next roundabout where the actual 2 lanes start. Traffic is crazy on rush hour in the evenings, so that is working out well. I've seen this often around Dublin and I actually find it very smart.

Lately, a bunch of lads started parking ON the f*****g roundabout, and it's more less the same cars. I'd ask out of curiosity if I saw any of them, but they seem to come and go later than my hours.

These drivers are obviously careless in the first place. How can we approach the issue? Is there a way to report to the Council or Garda traffic or something?

I'd contact the local Garda station. The twitter traffic is only for information purposes.

Not sure what you are trying to say Trigger.

OP, start with Gardai and see if they defer to the council.

What?? You don't need yellow lines.. Parking on a roundabout is not allowed.

Correct. If you read the council meeting minutes where people ask for redundant road markings they are told same. It's confusing if the council put them in. The issue is enforcement.

Garda came back to me last week and forgot to post back here. The lady on the phone was very helpful and explained the situation, how it works, etc, but unfortunately the roundabout is on private property, so they have no legal standing...

So it's an industrial estate? Get the estate management to clamp them.
