    Hi,

I've been looking far and wide for a Toyota Avensis Gear Knob and can't find one.
Is there anywhere in Dublin have them?
Failing that... is there anywhere online?

    Thanks,
    Eamonn

Note that the new model 09 onwards has a different shifter to the older ones.

You won't realistically buy one new anywhere other than a Toyota dealer. They're quite expensive for what they are.

Bikos suggestion of one from a breakers is the most cost effective option, as long as it's in better nick than yours.

Look on aliexpress. I got a 6spd gearknob for my wifes Auris for $8 posted from China, its pretty much identical to the OE knob. It fits and works perfectly and while the quality may not be up to the OE spec, its not far off. Couldnt go wrong for $8 and if I needed another one next year then its not much to pay.

Every car in a breaker should have one really! Have you rang the local scrapyard?

Pop out to kilcock dismantlers. A sea of them there.
