As the title says I calves a cow last night she needed a bit of a pull. She was sick all evening so when calf hit the ground a quickly got the iodine on naval. She then turned and decided she didn't want me there so I left without getting ropes of feet.
She is still a bit lively this morning but no sign of ropes.
Would she have eaten them if so am I in trouble or would they pass through her.

Get her into another pen and get down on your knees looking. (The ropes are only meant to go in the other end.)

My dog ate one of the calving ropes about a month ago, he's still here

They are in the straw I reckon. I often lost the ropes on top of the straw bedding. Cursing at 2am looking for ropes and they in front of me is great craic.

The red and blue calving ropes are great. Thw white ones are hard to see in the straw

I'll get her moved when I get home and she has a bit quieter and search for them.
    Thanks for the replies

Just searched pen for ropes and found 1. I'm hoping that the other is buried in the muck and straw. There is only a hard core floor in pen so is hard to clean.
