    Is it like this...

From memory I think you turn on bluetooth on the phone, turn ignition on (don't start car), press the Nokia logo and then run a search on the phone for the kit, think the default passcode is 0000 or could be 1234.

I don't actually have that button..im thinking old type nokia phone has to be plugged into this particular cradle. I'm unable to post a pic unfortunately

There were 2 types of those Nokia kits around at that time, one with a button & Bluetooth & one without. If yours is the one without the capability to add the button it doesn't have Bluetooth & won't work with your phone.

It's crazy to think that kit was installed in a 08 Mondeo.. I'd say something if it was a 01 or something!!!

If there was a way to adapt them it would be great. I can't find anything or anyone local to me at least that could sort it out for me

Being honest you'd replace it with something modern & more suitable for use with your phone for less than the parts to convert it IF they were available.

    It's a lost cause.

What system would you suggest? Not expensive say middle of the road..

Check with your local car accessory shop/phone kit installer, they'd be able to give you better advice than me. Where abouts are you based?

I'm in Clare. I was onto a guy this morning in Limerick reckons he can sort out the kit I have with the nokia wheel for about 70e. I'll keep ye posted as to how I get on

Seems a little steep if it takes second hand. That kit is the Nokia ck7w usually.

Now if he's fitting it for you as well that isn't so bad.

A new Nokia ck100 is only around €100

If you want a Nokia wheel, you need to upgrade the control box and then add the wheel. eBay is your best bet for a cheap fix. plug in and play, but will not be compatible with Samsung s6 on and IPhone 5's on, too much of a software glitch, they will work but not be reliable

Thanks for all the feedback guys. Ger in Carcom Limerick sorted it out for 80e. I know it was way too expensive as all he did was remove old phone holder and plug in the nokia wheel. Still it's done now so happy days.
