Hi. Looking into going to the canaries for week or two over christmas. Is it too early to book now? Would i be better off to wait?

For Canaries at Christmas period I would book asap.
Its very popular at that time. Ryanair will probably be following aer lingus and putting up their already rip-off hold baggage charges soon too, so if booking with them do it before they do.
Hotels in Canaries charge a premium for Christmas too, so watch out for that too.

But for any other time I would always wait until 6 weeks before departure.
Though most people cant hold their nerve.

I'd never recommend 6 weeks before departure except for the UK and Europe low season, unless you like giving away free money.

Last year with Lanzarote, it actually wasn't getting flights that was an issue (I read last winter on a Lanzarote facebook page of bargain flights, including some from Dublin) - it's the accommodation. Christmas is now busier than peak summer months, due mainly to folks who rent out their property in summer but stay there themselves in the winter putting pressure on whatever's left.

If you're booking a package that's not such a big deal, but if you're booking something independently, you'd be as well to get on that immediately!
