I am connected to Vodafone broadband and i have had really high ping when playing games ( more specifically CS:GO) on EU servers. my latency goes through the roof!

my average ping is 600 and normally raises to over 1100. this is definitely a problem as no one is on the internet other than me.

Appears to be high pings tonight for some reason? Anyone else experiencing the same?

Ongoing issue for a number of months.

Seems to be a problem with their international peering in Cable & Wireless (a Vodafone company).

They fix it every few weeks and it's fine again for a few days and then it all falls over again.

My ping rose to 54574 now. This is seriously getting out of control.

I had some faith in vodafone, I do not think that I have any more faith in this provider of internet anymore

They are having serious issues since the early hours of this morning.

They don't appear to have a 24/7 NOC.

    This still the case?
Vodafone Portugal monitors networks in UK and Ireland

In addition to the network in Spain, Vodafone Portugal will also monitor the communications networks in the UK and Ireland.

Understanding is that is only for the mobile network.

    Their residential/SME broadband is separate.

Whatever is going on, the amount of downtime on the broadband side is dreadful since the start of the year and even when no downtime, the performance can fluctuate significantly throughout the day.

Pings of 40ms/44ms tonight with Vodafone. Normally 24ms.

Issue started for me in August 2016. Random nights. Was about once a week, now every single night after 6PM.
I'm getting pings of 140ms instead of 16ms to UK.
Ping to Dublin used to be fine, but that has deteriorated too.
Vodafone doesn't respond to their email support. Live chat is unable to help with support issues. Their forum staff never respond to PM. Their telephone support is utterly unhelpful and condescending after waiting up to an hour.

I've given up. Take my advice and don't go with Vodafone if you plan to do any kind of Gaming/VOIP/Remote Desktop. Pay twice as much with a competent company so you can actually enjoy and make use of your internet connection.

I can't imagine getting the 1 Gbps SIRO service to have this pathetic ping in the evening.
