    Quick one!
Had my car in to have 4 shocks and springs fitted!
2 rears no problem 2 fronts where a mare due to a pinch bolt being seized on both hub assemblys!
Long story short one hub developed a hairline crack from the attempted removal of pinch bolt!
Car now needs new hub assembly so is it my bill to pay?
Should i just suck it up or try negotiate a fair deal?

I'd try and negotiate a 50/50 deal as it would probably have happened no matter where you brought the car to get the work done. Is a new hub expensive?

What kind of cost would you be talking about to replace it? Hard to know really, on one hand they should factor in to their charges a % to accommodate when things go wrong to covers these unexpected costs, on the other hand if they are doing the job at a reasonable price to start with these things happen in a number of cases no matter who tries to take them off.

I supplied the suspension kit so it was just a labour rate!
The labour hours have run on due to this and the part is 160ish plus vat new !
Id be happy to pay part just would not be happy with extra labour charge!

    It's really not their fault.

If this is a common problem on this model a main dealer would insist on 2 new hubs as standard part of replacing front shocks.

It's your cost surely. The hub broke because of a fault with your car. It didn't break because of any negligence, but as a direct result of a fault.

I'd still ask them would they meet you halfway.
    Nothing lost by trying
