So a little backstory one of my parents passed not long ago and my relatives are now wanting to bring us out to america to stay with them as they help us financially.

I am an engineer student in ucd and i failed maths in my first year so colleges that require a C or higher in calc 1 and calc 2 (got a B) i wont be allowed to apply to. i will have to do courses at a community college to up my GPA and grade.

converted to 4.0 scale i am rn sitting on in or around a 3.0 GPA so im worried i wont be accepted into a good college.

    my question is:

i feel like the BE degree is better here in ireland than a BSc in america and i plan to move there for masters/work upon graduating anyway. but would my opportunities be better if i study there at an average university or here?

    Thanks in advance.
