I AM LISTING THIS FOR A FRIEND AS HE DOES NOT HAVE AN EBAY ACCOUNT

First line of the ad and they're already trying to muddy the water

That along with the price and I'd be amazed if it was genuine.

looks like they have cloned someones ebay account.
45 positive ratings in the last year, mainly for cookery items, music, books and fashion wear, and an ebay'er for 8 years.
Then throws up two 6-7000 Sterling tractors with a sale price of 3500 and 4500 each.

edit. I emailed the bould Sandra to see when and where I can view the Deere for a test drive. :D

Ask him for the reg and chassis number? I asked some scam artist on ebay a few years ago selling another 7840 and the reply I got was it's in storage and it will be shipped as soon as payment is made

She just emailed back, tractor is in Elgin, Scotland but she is in N.Ireland ATM. Have asked for reg number, and address it's at.
Late fathers tractors. She'll "let it go" for 3500.
Didn't answer my question about VAT yet.

I hope to arrange to meet her in NI, and we'll go across to view. :D

Very disappointed, Sandra doesn't want to meet me. But she has helpfully organised a payment method to make things easier for me, and for my peace of mind :D

    Bike, what bike? :D

Due to my location view or pick up is not an option . I suggest going through eBay for your peace of mind. As for payment we will use PayPal - Pay After Delivery which gives you 14 days for the bike to be delivered/inspected before any funds are released to me. Regarding delivery someone will collect the bike and will transport it safely to your location.
Please read the PayPal (Pay after delivery) terms by clicking on the link below:

    https://www.paypal.com/uk/weba pps/mpp/pay-after-delivery- terms

This purchase protection guarantees that the bike is exactly as I described it; basically, once delivered, you'll have 5-7 days to inspect it and if you decide not to keep it you will get refunded in no time and they will charge me with the return costs. I will get paid only after you confirm that you received the bike in good order.

Let me know if you want to go ahead as I still have quite a few more offers from potential buyers. If you do want to go ahead please email me your full name and address along with your daily contact number so I can start this transaction.

    Kind Regards,

The thing about it is that there are people that fall for these scams.

well, if its a scam, the buyer is 100% protected on ebay and paypal.
If the buyer has an issue, the value of the sale is frozen in the sellers paypal account. If the money has been taken out of the pay pal account, then the money is frozen in their bank account, or credit card that they have attached to the pay pal account. The money is frozen until the issue is resolved, or if the seller is at fault, then the buyer is given a refund.

Also, (taking this from wheeler dealers) if you buy a car on ebay, you don't have to pay until you have inspected the car, to verify its exactly what was advertised. I would assume its the same with a tractor, as its a vehicle.

As long as it is a genuine PayPal account you are directed to.

ebay and paypal are basically the same company, you wouldn't be able to link a fake paypal account to an ebay account.

But thats assuming the tractor is paid for before its inspected.

They split in 2015, separate companies now.

Here's how they get the money if you are stupid enough,

If you are in the market for a Kubota Tractor or any other tractor for that matter BEWARE! There is a person/persons listing bogus tractors for sale with "Buy It Now" and pre-approved bidders list. Seller usually requests that you contact them through an alternate email address because there is a problem with their ebay email. Once you contact this person they give you some phoney info and send a fake ebay invoice requesting money by sent by Western Union. DO NOT FALL FOR IT! There is no tractor and your money is gone. Most of these listings are 1 or 3 days and I have seen several from Canada. They also offer free shipping and guaranteed refund.
