I'm going to go inspect the job that was done laying laminate floor in my new build tomorrow.

Would you guys have any recommendations of things to look out for before saying I'm happy and paying? Here are some photos from the job I've been sent:

First big checking observations would be to individually, yes... Individually check the joints/connections of each floor board. You'd be surprised when a floor is poorly laid where the laminate boards haven't been properly joined correctly. Especially around the sides of the floor where the floor might go to the end underneath say a skirting board.

Also the joint lines should all be at different points on the floor which on the pics they look to be in fairness. Another key indicator of a badly laid floor is the end joints of the floor not being laid at different points as they go along to ensure no obvious lines show up or appear.

    Just a few simple pointers.

Looks decent on zoomed pics. Skirting will need a lick of filler/paint to cover the pin holes. Good attention to detail around the rad pipes - indicative of a guy who gives a toss ;)

Best of luck in the new pad :)
