Very slight oil leak from brake caliper.

    I was removing the brake caliper bracket on my car the other day.
    I noticed a very slight oil leak coming from the dust seal on the brake caliper.
    It's about a drops worth, and if you move around the bottom of the seal another drop will come out.
    This does not happen if you do the same with the top of the seal.
    There's no sign of brake fluid anywhere else on the brake assembly.
    To my knowledge the brake pads were changed about 10,000 miles ago.
    The fluid level in the main reservoir was over the max mark and the bleed screw on the caliper looked like it had never been used.

    Here's a picture of what it looks like.

    Looking for any advice that people have.
    Is this something I need to worry about?
    Do I need to replace the caliper?
    I was looking into rebuilding it myself, although kits seem difficult to come across and I don't know how difficult it would be.

    Hard to see much from the picture. If you think it's leaking brake fluid then you need to get it checked out. If it gets worse it could be dangerous.

    Are we talking about the brake bleed screw ??

    Had another look at it and the dust seal itself was intact, but it seemed to be a bit too flexible at the bottom.
    And it looked like dirt had already managed to get past the seal.
    I've managed to find a repair kit and I'm going to give that a go for the experience.
