They can reside in clothing too. Are you naked?

Books are sneaky - have you checked down the back of the sofa? They could be anywhere, harbouring lice. It's often a PD James paperback behind the jax that is the culprit, or a Jeffrey Archer down the back of a radiator. I've been doing this years. Trust me.

they are tiny 1 to 2mm apparently they are due to the plaster not drying out properly

Psocids in a new property? Simple answer is to live with them. Summer's coming. They'll shrivel up, naturally, soon enough.

Meanwhile, they're actually harmless. They'll just bug ye.

This just reminded me that I haven't seen one of those silver fish yokes in about 20 years.

A dehumidifier might work. If you've got a large LED TV you could try placing it screen side against the wall plugged in and turned on. Would dry the plaster out faster.
Mute the volume as they can lip read anyway.

They would. Rumour has it they're corrupt and secretly pray at night that the pest population increases. Then go out acting all innocent by day. My mate Andy says they actually feed the pests, to get more work.
