gets an error when you go to checkout, must have twigged the error already

    Went through it there

Add 70 quid for charging cable- is this an upgrade on one that comes with it or a necessity?

Checkout not working either way for me

Great deal on face of it tho

Oh dear … something’s not right. Please call us to complete your order. We’re really sorry for the inconvenience.

Something isn't right alright! Someone just nearly cost Lenovo a few grand and quite title for bargain of the year. IPS screen, i7, ssd drive, 16gb DDR4. That would be some bargain!

Ah ****e. I think someone in Lenovo is just taking the piss.

They fixed it, looks like they were supposed to knock 400 off the price but switched it and prices it at 400

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,621 ✭✭✭Panda

It still says 400 for me. Are you seeing a different figure now?

Twas. Nice lad on the phone. Went like this:

Agent: Hi, welcome to Lenovo. Scott speaking, how can I help you?

Me: Im just ringing about an offer on the site, Scott?
Him:(laughs). I suppose its about the €400 laptop?
Me: Yep, you got it in one.
Him:Well yes, its clearly a misprice, but give me your number and I'll see what I can do. Obviously it will be nothing like the offer but we will do something on the price.
Me: Cheers Scott, enjoy your day ;)

Unless you got a fairly big discount it's a fairly outdated model (from a gaming point of view) and fairly poor value. Other places sell models with the newer 7700, same SSD/HDD combo and much faster GTX1050Ti for considerably less money which would run rings around it in games.

Obviously at 400 it would have been a total steal! But at almost €1,400 it's a bit crazy, what sort of discount were they offering?

    Any links?

€1099 after you use the promo code SAVE100.

    http://www.dell.com/ie/p/inspiron-15-7567-laptop/pd?oc=cn56702&model_id=inspiron-15-7567-laptop

    i7-7700HQ
    16GB DDR4
    256GB SSD+1TB HDD
    GTX1050Ti 4GB

The GTX1050Ti is about 40-50% faster than GTX960M.

Does it have trackpoint? I'm looking at laptops and I will genuinely happily pay a premium not to have to deal with clickpads. Worst user experience of all time.

That was ringing and muttering discount with out actually getting one. Or at least telling us what is was.

very few laptops come with trackpoints these days. you're really limiting yourself if you must have one of these on your laptop. really it's some business-user-targeted laptops that have these.
get a small mouse wireless or wired as you prefer.
also trackpads have come on a good bit in the last few years - good ones are perfectly acceptable for lap use. for a desk I would always use a proper mouse.

I'd say pads have got worse, not better. Removing all buttons is a massive step back.

Looks like it was meant to be savings of up to €400 rather being sold at €400

Seriously though do you expect to see a new bmw 3-series on sale for the price of Dacia Duster - no. same quantum applies to this.
