I'd always be wary of Elite bulls, quite a lot of them are difficult calving. Used them a bit but you'd wanna be close to the yard come calving time.
If you look at the Elite herd, nearly all the bulls are ET's, whatever that says about them!!

Remember elite erasmus ERE. Don't know what he is now but at one stage he was over 20% calving difficulty. I never saw the likes in a limo before.

I loved him! Still have two heifers by him, one first calver was due yesterday, but he wasn't for the faint-hearted.

The Arlea and Elite pedigree limousine herds are both owned by the one family. The Elite herd concentrate on ET.
Elite Ice Cream does look like a smasher, but I would wait until he is proven for calving.
Elite Flag ET is only 4.6% for calving. I think he is gone now. I have a few calves by him and they all stayed very small.

Ah I see! Thanks for that, was a bit bewildered by all the ETs in that herd name.

Ice cream is 8% calving difficulty at low reliability, I'd expect that to rise a lot yet. Your cow has already had a section, you hardly want to risk her having another one.
I think i'd err on the side of caution and pick a proven easy enough calving bull for her.

He is gone alright and my calves from him were the same as yours. All stayed small enough even out of tall cows.
