Looking to pick up a decent starter road bike for my brother. He's 6'2 so a 58/60/XL depending on the brand. Ideally something 10 speed with a carbon forks at least and Sora equivalent or better groupset. Don't mind the age really but obviously the older the bike the better the components would need to be. I have a few spare bits and pieces hanging around so willing to accept a half bike or something that needs some additions. The max of his budget is 350. If we don't find anything from the good people of boards we'll have to deal with the dreaded people on donedeal

I have one of these left and will let it go for €800. If bike to work is an option for you I can do that which will be then close to your budget.

I have a couple of 58cm Sensa Toscana bikes to sell.
They're full carbon with full 105 10 speed groupset. They are ex-rental bikes and have only been used for some sprint and Olympic triathlons. Not getting the business so selling them off! Only a couple of hundred kilometres on them and ready to go. Looking for 900 euro for each.

Thanks for the reply. Bike to work not an option for the brother unfortunately as this looks like a decent deal. Cheers

I have a 2013 cube peleton race in a 62cm. I'm 6'1 and it is a good fit for me. Done about 10k km in total on it according to strava. Only used it for turbo for the last couple of years.
    This is the original specs

It is a very good bike, only major issue I ever had with it was the wheels which are ****e. Some spokes would loosen after a few spins. I got the wheels rebuilt, but never actually used them after that so cant say if that improved them. They are Easton wheels as seen on the rear in photo.Wheels would both be original Eastons and not zonda as in photo.
Other than that I upgraded brake calipers to 105, so group set is complete.

Thanks for this. Nice looking bike alrighr. I'd say 62 might be just a bit too big for him. I'll figure it out be get back to ya. He's away in Rome for the week running a marathon (pervert i know) so it will be after that before he can commit. What are you hoping to get for it?

@wicky9 Cube bikes actually come up a little smaller than other brands. I have a 58 Cube and I'm 6'1 and I could have gone up a size.

I should say I was advised on this size by shop and got fitted on the bike by Aidan Hammond and he told me it was right size for me. I feel I could have got away with a 60, but found it very comfortable. Other 2 bikes I have are both 58's, a Trek and a Genesis and I fit them as well! I have an inside leg measurement of 33.5, as that might help on judging size. I'm in no hurry on decision as only decide on selling it when I seen your ad. Would be looking for 350 for it. What part of the country are you based?

I'm in Clare but the brother is in Dublin. I'm up and down the odd time so could meet somewhere else. I'll let him make a call on it next week when he's home from the ridiculous running carry on that he does. Thanks for your posts!!
