You are not wrong there - played first game of the year saturday and found myself "looking for clubs".

If you use a trolley, short clubs at the low side, long clubs at the top so that heads don't bang/damage shafts. Always a cover on putter and woods.

I thought it was pretty obvious.
Driver and woods at the top.
Rescues and mid irons in the middle.
Short irons and putter at the bottom.

Putter at the bottom..... no, no, no, no, no. Other than that it is fine but the putter goes at the top with the woods. Anything else is just plain silly.

Say goodbye to your lovely granite shafts. Putters are often tungsten, harder than most shafts/club heads.

Exactly.......keep the heads of other clubs away from your graphite shafts. Mine driver has a long sock so maybe it would be ok but I prefer to keep my putter away from the woods.

What? The putter has a head cover obviously as do all the woods. So seeing as the putter head is covered I fail to see how a putter shaft is going to give my graphite shafted woods a hammering. Good luck with your granite shafts though.

Does this affect your swing weight at all?

Got to say they are being a bit adventurous with shaft materials now :)

When people refer to the top i assume you mean the front when the bag is on the cart??

The shaft thing makes sense but it just looks weird..

The order of your clubs in your bag is oft overlooked, and many dont appreciate the 1 to 1.5 shots per round difference it can make to your score on average. All good golfers take it seriously, but the aspect that amazes me most is to still see right-handed golfers order their clubs for a left-hander or vice versa. Golf is difficult enough as it is, without further hobbling your chances with this careless rookie error. Am looking at starting up a custom bag order fitting business myself, as feel there is so much scope for improvement in most golfer's games by getting this important element right.
