Looking at some on DD 16ft or 18 ft long steel floor but timber sides. Small money but do marts and factories have issues with timber trailers. I here rumours that factories won't accept them in. But can't find anything definate.

I'd say when factories are stuck for cattle they would take them in anything

Good to hear. I'm pulling it with an older tractor non 40k. So RSA rules tell me most i can pull unbraked is 5 ton. Most of them older trailers have no brales or are broken/not working. Anyone any idea of weight of a 16ft typical trailer like this. Im guessing c.3 Ton?

If pulling with 40k plus tractor from reading the RSA rules they need brakes regardless of weight.

Why should the factories or marts care or have a say whether the trailer is made from timber, steel or chocolate.
