I'm eighteen years old, and nearly finished with secondary school. I'm very interested in moving to and possibly staying in Ireland, and would like to attend the Athlone Institute of Technology. I'm not completely certain how I would go about initiating that, as I've only ever moved to another state. Any help is completely appreciated.

I would suggest you look at the International Students page on their site: https://www.ait.ie/international-students

Then contact one of the International Office staff. They can advise you.

Why Athlone, just out of curiosity?
