So I'm currently working with a company and am due to finish in a few months and hoping to start my own business.

Is it possible do this while still working with my firm?

How do I go about this?

I hear of all the items you can claim back on but what are these?

Is it possible purchase tools and a van??

    Any help much appreciated

You can register while employed lots of people do. You can claim back expenses on legitimate purchases needed for the business so you could buy tools and a van if you were starting as a tradesman (but they could only be used for business purposes) but would be tougher to suggest they were needed if you were looking to start offering tefl lessons online.
