    Hi,

I thought a bulb had gone in my R53 Mini Cooper S but when I turned on the car last night and saw the reflection, I could see it flickered for a second before staying off. I had ordered two new bulbs but I don't think that's the issue any more. I'm not familiar with HID systems so would appreciate any advice!

    Thanks,

    Dan

Could be a ballast either, thats the little silver box on the back off the headlight. If i remember rightly the mini has the same ballast as the mk4 golf so should look something like this...

swap them over from one headlight to another and see if the problem follows, mini headlights are also very easy to access lol you are blessed.
