I had my center joint resealed at the local john deere dealer and now my blade does not work. What am I missing? I pulled each line off cylinder and I am getting some flow, just not much. I need help..lol. Something so simple has me extremely baffled.

this is an early 90's ex60-3

Centre joint of the blade? Or the boom? Sounds like air.

Are you talking about the rotary manifold carrying oil from Upper section (engine and pump etc) through the slew ring to the undercarriage ( track motors and blade)?
Any new hoses or connections fitted?

Pressurise the system....as you would after a hydraulic service...have seen this to clear faults... (is not something silly like low in Hyde oul??)

Maybe try tracking it slowly and work the blade??
After that....it's check the connections under the control lever

    Update
was tracking across driveway and tried to move blade and left track locked up. Will not release. I took the cap off hydraulic tank and I am letting it set to rest a bit. Is it possible to put the center joint in backwards? and top be correct?

What do the dealers that did the work have to say?

Sounds like hoses have been mixed up.

Is there a way to respond to each message here or just keep it going..lol. I added about 3 gallons of hydraulic oil. then walked hoe back to the garage using bucket and one track. oil is leaking out of final drive that is "locked up". not sure that is a good thing...lol. Loaded a scrap car on flatbed with no trouble( rest of machine is working just fine)

I am looking for someone around east central ohio that does this kind of work that actually knows what they are doing!

The dealer said they would be glad to take it back apart and look at it for full shop rate again. Think I will pass on them.

Does anyone know where I could find a regular picture looking up at the bottom of the center/swivel joint of a Hitachi ex60-3 or something very close. I am positive that the top is hooked up correctly but not finding pictures of the bottom half of the joint.

Update: hoses were not hooked up right. Fixed hoses and then had to pull final drive off right side of hoe. Reseal brake pack. Put back together. Now it leaks around outer cover on final drive. Going to drain and refill final with proper grease. Also now have oil coming from center joint area and grease from something judging from oil on concrete.

Stopping for a few days to remember what is important! It's mushroom hunting time...214 found first day out...life is good...lol

Well when you hooked up the hoses wrong it sounds like you sent oil to the brake circuit, which would have been waay too high a pressure for it and popped the seals, now the hyd is bypassing into the final drive and overfilling the hub. It may well be leaking out the breather or have popped the final drive seal if it didn't

I finally got back onto the hoe. You are correct my friend , blade hoses were switched with parking brake circuit. Rookie mistake on my part.. Ended up pulling final drive and installing new seals in it as well.
Then once all back together. One of the hose O ring's blew out underneath on the center joint...lol. I am becoming way to familiar with the hydraulics of this machine, but I believe we got her going in the right direction now.

Radiator is leaking across the bottom edge. Can it be fixed or just order new one and change water pump while I'm at it???
