    Hi guys,

Anyone know can you bring a battery pack on an airplane going to America or are they prohibited? If you can does it have to go into checked luggage or can it be in carry on?

    Thanks ^_^

You will need to check with the airline that you are travelling with, the situation is very confused at the moment, with different countries and different airlines being subject to differing rules at the moment, and it's not at all clear how these rules are being interpreted.

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁

As far as I am aware, Lithium ion batteries are prohibited in the hold (checked baggage) due to fire risk on most airlines unless they are out of the equipment and in approved packaging.

Best bet as above is to contact the airline. I'd do it by email so you have a record and print out of the reply when you go to check in.

I've traveled worldwide with multiple carriers in the past 12 months and these definitely are allowed in the cabin:

The first one however will usually draw attention upon Xray as it looks like a loop of primer cord and a igniter. You may run into difficulties however if you are travelling to the US from the newly sanctioned countries.

Carry on, yes, checked in, no.
