Sprinter or Transit? (2017 reg)

Need to get a new van (2017).
What van is most reliable and best to run?

Will be doing a bit of towing as well.
The sprinter is more expensive but I'm worried as I know that some models about 7 years ago gave a lot of trouble.

The Ford has a new Adblue system and new unproven engine... Adblue has to be topped up evey 700km or so. Wary to try something new like this.

    Any advice welcome,

    Thanks.
    Alan

we looked at vehicles needing adblue when I was a fleet manager many years ago. We opted for lwb sprinters instead and never had any issues.

There's a new Crafter that's not based on the sprinter coming or here already. They have a 2.0 TDI engine, output between 100-170bhp. There will be a MAN version too I think. I reckon they still have a few of the old model left, would be interesting to see how they'd compare with the sprinter price wise.

Sprinters are great when they're new. If you're going to be trading up in a few years it would be a good choice.
