Marine ply under windows?

Having some windows put in this week, very big ones measuring roughling 1.5m wide x 2.4m high.

Installer (independent from company) suggesting to use strips of treated marine ply underneath to prop (these will be on a concrete step).

I've the ply cut into 6" x 8' strips and have treated them further to prevent rot etc.

Set up will be 18mm marine ply, 13mm marine ply, dpc and a tray I had made specifically to further weatherproof interior.

My engineer is ok with this but I've had some say to me that only slate should be used.

I think they will be fine (as does my engineer), just looking for any other opinions.

Marine Ply should be fine but would you consider using something like Compacfoam which is a super strong insulation designed to go under windows and doors. It would reduce the thermal bridge around the windows and doors. It's one material I learned about when it was too late on my build.

What is the purpose of the 31mm of MP, other than take up the window tolerances and make for less expanded foam at the head?

At a guess and looking at the size of the window it's to reach finished floor level.

Can you post the detail showing the cill and insulation continuity?

Has your arch tech approved the change in detailing? Will this affect the psi value being used in the ber ?
