Lads are these ovens as bad as the reputation they have from some reviews I have seen? Getting a new kitchen and these were what the designer priced for us. If they are not great what make would be recommended?

Nordmende is purely a brand name that is licensed to various companies.

In Ireland and uk, KAL (part of Gowan group who also control Peugeot cars) own the rights.

So effectively its an own brand range of KAL.

KAL also distribute Miele, Franke & Neff and as a company are very well regarded.

We've an Electrolux oven (and hob, dishwasher, washing machine and fridge freezer) in our house when we moved in nearly 9 years ago, none of which have given any bother in that time. Long may it continue.

I didn't realise Electrolux ovens were made in Germany. Learn something new everyday! :)
