    Hello there.
I was wondering if any one could tell me if you can do a 'lucky 15' , consisting of trebles or accas of any kind?

    For hypothetical example..
    selection 1= Man City/Man U/Arsenal treble.
    selection 2=Celtic/Chelsea/Spurs treble.
    selection 3=Everton/Rangers/Hibs treble.
    selection 4=Dundalk/Barcalona/Lazio etc.

Can these trebles be combined into a lucky 15?

Never heard of sub-group selections within an Acca.
Basically your selecting an ACCA of 12 teams to win.

The max generally you can make trebles from is 11 selections.
You'd need 165 lines to cover.
e.g. €165 spend for the next 11 PL games would return just €1112 - If all the favs win.

The cost to earnings ratio is far too low 7:1 to take this trebles route. and that's assuming there are no draws or upsets.
More than likely it would at best just about reach break-even point.

Nine-folds (55 lines) from 11, is more cost friendly with much higher returns.
But very unlikely to get right, due to compounded probability, particularly in three-way resulting.

It is essentially a 12 team acca,of sorts , but it has some insurance aspects , maybe ? if its kosher with the bookies?
Im just a dabbler really , with a very basic grasp on the maths of permutations .
    Cheers for the advice.

You can only do lucky 15s with four selections, period.

There isn't 15 bets possible with only three selections.

There are four selections of three teams in my example.
I know its not usual , I was just wondering if it was technically possible.

    Of course it isn't possible

    Yes its possible.

The key point being that you don't have any overlaps in teams between your 4 groups of selections if you want to do it.

The bad thing is that you can't simply write it on a betting slip in that format and at the end write '€10 Lucky 15' the same way you would if each selection was just 1 game.

A lucky 15 is simply an automated way to do 15 different bets but you can't automate this.

You will first have to do singles, then do the doubles, then do the trebles, then finally do the last 12 team accumulator. It will take longer to do and will be a bit of a pain in the a** but in effect you can do it.

I'm assuming what you are asking is if you could automate the process to be quick and easy? No.

Possibly you might be able to do it over the phone if you rang Paddy Power and had the trader do it but time-wise it would be the same as either you do it yourself or you wait on the phone while a very pi**ed off support agent does it:)

I'm laughing thinking about that phone call. You would undoubtedly instantly become the support staffs most hated customer but the company itself would love you:)
