Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Ussher and Research Studentships

    Hi all, I see previous threads about internal funding from TCD. My question is about the scarcity of the Ussher fellowship and research studentships. I've been accepted to a research PhD in history. Around how many postgraduate students get financial assistance from the college?

    There are 6 Usshers and 65 studentships per year. And a good few hundred PhD students applying for them each year.

    Hi all, I got an email this morning! I did not get an Ussher fellowship but apparently they have been selected. The email also said that I will hear later about the studentship. Bit of a shock to title the email "TCD Ussher Award Notification", but at least they were kind enough to let me know I didn't make it.
