Only 1 radiator upstairs heating

Looking for a bit of advice
Only 1 radiator upstairs is heating up. All downstairs are fine. Bled them all upstairs. A lot of air in 3 of them. I tried turning off the one that was heating to see if the others heated but they are stone cold. Checked the pressure downstairs and it's 1.5 bar. It's a fairly new house. Can't imagine they are blocked up.

Could this be a balancing issue? The rads seem to have a 1 shut off on one side and a temp control valve on the other.

I really don't know much about home heating systems. Any advice appreciated

Try turning off all the working rads, and then the coil on the cylinder.
This might help flush out air lock in the pipes.

If that rads that are not working and have thermosts on the handles, you probably need a plumber as there notorious for sticking closed, and so need replacing.

Thanks will try that. The cylinder coil though.. Where would I find that?

Cool sorry I mean how do I turn it off. There are a good few valves up there

(Depending on number of coils) There will be 2 horizontal pipes on the same vertical plane going into the cylinder. One about 1/3rd from top and other about 1/3rd from bottom. For you to confirm, these are the two pipes that will be first to get hot when heating for rads is on (initially higher one hotter than lower one) . There will be a valve on one of those pipes and that is the balancing valve concerned.

Count the number of turns as you turn it off, so that you can return it to same position, should this not turn out to be the problem.

I have made it worse by bleeding the radiators and now all are cold. Pressure has dropped to only half a bar. There doesn't seem to be a flexible pipe underneath for topping the system back up. I'm at a loss here

Where are you reading gauge from? Pic of that area may help.

God knows I know nothing about plumbing, but it sounds a lot like when our pump had to be replaced. Hope you won't have to go that far.
