Driving an 11 passat , car began losing power and engine management light comes on , but goes back to normal when I restart the car . I drove on and it got worse 1 morning and the cat converter light also came on . Is it safe/could I do damage to engine if I continue driving like this for the week , and keep restarting the car when it happens ? Need my car this weekend

Hard to say without getting it scanned. could be as simple as bad sensor in which case no damage is likely to be done, or could be something more ominous and you might make it worse. You should get a scan done. Do you know anybody with a scan tool/VCDS? Where are you based?

Have you had a listen to the engine any rough idle or any leaking hoses?

Ya they just said egr valve sensors 1 and 2 are the messages showing up, my mechanic said drive on it won't do any harm but now I litersely have to restart the car every 5 mins to get the power back in it , also the cat converter light has only came on after I seen the mechanic , pain in the arse but I need travel a nice few miles today and tomorrow , only after buying the car aswel so don't wanto make a **** of it 😧😧

It'll be a pain to drive, but you shouldn't do any damage. The EGR can actually be removed completely and the car will still run fine, probably better actually. If I were you'd I'd be looking into getting an "EGR delete" done to fix the problem, they get clogged up and cause problems on lots of cars, and they're really only there to keep emissions down, they don't serve any other function.
