Informed the Dept. I would be working the odd day in January maybe 20hrs
p.w. Worked for 60hrs over 3 weeks. Sent in my Xs and 0 forms that were completed by manager. Have not received my jobseekers despite going into the dept sometimes twice a week then receive letters that my forms werent filled out properly so back to manager forms handed into Dept again only to come back to say they weren't stamped eventually after pleading with manager to get around Manager to stamp them which took 2 weeks still no JSA.go into DEPT. again to be told they lost forms so had to get it all done again. Now this week they ask me for a p.45 getting it sorted but it aint easy dealing with manager he promises to send it then doesn't this could go on for a week or more. Dept say now my case is closed and to re apply for JSA I have had no money since 2nd week in January. Today I got a letter saying I can collect my €102 only to receive €34. Dont know what I did wrong .

It just goes to show that the system is overly bureaucratic and error prone and is organised in such a way as to serve itself rather than its clients.

Nonsense like this is a disincentive to a person looking for temporary or casual work.

A universal basic income would be far simpler to administer and incentivise people take up temporary or casual work, free of the worry of being caught up in this sort of bureaucratic mess which could leave them on the breadline.
