Paypal topup confused

    I have a small balance in my paypal account and want to make a purchase.
    What is the best way to use this balance, if I want to use it immediately?
    (i)withdraw to my current account and make paypal purchase with linked bank a/c
    (ii)top up account for the remainder
    (iii) Purchase through paypal, they will draw funds from my account and the balance from linked a/c (no idea if this 3rd one is possible)
