Shake in steering?

Ok, so I have 08 SMAX and annoying shake in steering. At low speeds don't really feel it. If on motorway there might be small shudder. You really feel it when you break.

I brought into garage and they checked everything. Said it could potentially be warped disk but it is so small they think replacing them would be a waste of money. So said to leave it and see if it gets better

I am just thinking, a good few months ago I was on back road, large truck was coming along so I went closer to edge. There was a hidden stone which I hit with the passenger side wheel.

I replaced the tyre and balanced etc. I am just wondering if the alloy could be buckled? Is anyway to check?

As I only replaced one front tyre, there is a tyre starting to wear bad on back. So I was going to swap alloy & tyre to back and then put 2 new tyres on front. If there is a small buckle would it really affect on back wheel?

    Any other ideas?

Put the new tyres on the rear.

Simply put the wheels from the rear on to the front and vice versa and see if the vibration occurs. If it disappears then its wheel related and if not its down to discs/hubs/CV joints and/or drives.
