Are Boxymo always the cheapest...

    Son turns 18 in 2 weeks. Full Licence. Will have 1 years named experience.
    Citroen C1 sitting in drive. Low risk address. Boxymo quote, €1,957 (12k per annum).
    Has anybody found an Insurer lately who came even close to Boxymo for a quote ?
    He's not worried about the Telematics aspect....more the fact that they seem very awkward to deal with, or even to contact in a reasonable way (plus a lot of stories concerning issues with their software, people being told they have driven 4k in a week etc.).
    I have rang around, and tried practically all the online Insurers, but the closest I can get so far is €3,800.
    Just wondering if anybody can point us in the direction of a Broker who has pulled a decent quote from an Insurer.
