Leather upholstery for a car

    Hi guys,
I am just wondering would any body have any idea of much it would cost to get a car converted from cloth to leather upholstery? The car is a VW Passat estate, 2013, I would be looking to get the two front seats covered, front and back, and the rear passenger seats also, as well the central arm rest in the front? It would be more for convenience (cleaning) that style. Also any suggestions of company's that do a good job would be great!
    Thanks in advance all!

Look for cars breaking that have leather seats that you can buy and swap over.
It will be very expensive to have existing seats changed to leather as the material will have to be tailored.

if you feel like throwing 3 grand at it, nolan auto care will do an amazing job, but in reality, try find a car here thats been crashed that has the seats, a breakers will sell a full interior for 500~

are you planning on keeping car for a long time as fitting aftermarket leather to a 4 yr old car sounds like a disaster - it could actually devalue car.

You should be able to pick up a full leather interior including matching door cards for €300-400 depending on condition, much cheaper than having your own upholstered.

Traynors might be a good place to look for leather seats.

this one has full black leather and the seats are semi powered with power lumbar support.

OP i'd enquire about this, with the door cards too, remember to grab the heated seat switches while there.

Very unlikely unless they go for that awful taxi leather.

I would get from crashed car and keep old seats for resale . If it's not supposed to have leather doesn't seem good idea

So someone will go "that's supposed to have cloth seats" and not buy it?

I've sold a good few cars with aftermarket leather and that's honestly never happened.

Thanks everybody for all the adviceðŸ‘👠I had a good idea that getting the seats upgraded myself would be way too expensive but said I'd check it out here just in case there was a competitive market out there now that I didn't know about, and obviously there isn't!! Thanks again, much appreciated ðŸ‘ðŸ‘

aslong as its factory leather / a decent job then its all good.
Sure A lot of people fitted M5 seats / E38 seats to E39's and people go mad for the extra comfort.

Nolan Autocare charged me 1950 to fit 7 leather seats & door cards (but not the front armrest). That was 6 years ago though. I think I read here a while back that they're only working for trade customers now though. Worth a call.

I looked a few times at buying leather seats and replacing my own but never made sense really, would have to store, sell or dump my own.
Getting an upholsterer to do it would be very expensive. Would be easier and cheaper to sell car and buy same one with leather if it means a lot to you but I bet you go off the idea

as mentioned, Nolan are no longer open to the public, trade only. Tried ringing them many times to get them to do some work for me :(

Try Autoglaze then - doubt they'd turn you down.

Their work is every bit as good as Nolans on the ones I've seen, but the contact there can be a bit of a PITA and that's why I use Nolans.

Circa 2000 should see a high quality retro fit leather interior, but if it's a Comfortline B6 model, don't bother - those front seats don't take the leather well at all and look saggy almost immediately.
